Belladonna of Sadness | Jalouse Magazine, June 2016

Marquee Poster is in the news!
After more than 40 years, the cult anime film Belladonna of Sadness was re-mastered in 4K and re-released around the world this summer. In the United States it was a particularly big deal as even after 40 years it still hadn’t had an official release. It’s not every day that an erotic, feminist, vintage anime film is re-released into theaters, so perhaps it’s not surprising that it attracted the attention of Jalouse magazine — the edgier, younger sibling of one of the oldest fashion publications in Paris, L’Officiel. I was contacted about my rare, rolled Japanese B1 with it’s awesome Gustav Klimt-inspired design. Let’s just say I’m always happy to help out periodicals with high resolution images suitable for publication. Please contact us with requests.
Please visit Cinelicious Pics for more information on the remastering, theatrical distribution, and blu-ray release. They also hosted a poster competition and the winning design is on sale for $30 USD.
