This poster is an amazing combination of visuals — incorporating both the Bill Gold design of the titular group with long shadows along the top, as well as an action montage prominently featuring the climatic Browning M1917 machine gun shootout along the bottom. The film is known as an early revisionist western, unflinching in it’s portrayal of violence and blood in a genre long associated with black and white dipictions of heroes and villians. The designers of this Japanese poster embraced this aesthetic for the B1 poster, right down to the blood-spattered protagonists! An extremely rare poster!
