Stories of Bastards: Born Under a Bad Star was one of the later period Nikkatsu film Seijun Suzuki made at the studio before their famous falling out. It was based on a novel by Toko Kon, as Suzuki had done with its predecessor The Bastard (1963) and would do again with Carmen from Kawachi the following year.

This nearly 5′ tall country-of-origin Japanese poster features a wonderful full length design. Country-of-origin posters for Seijun Suzuki are becoming increasingly difficult to find as his reputation and recognition within the Japanese film industry continues to skyrocket! This tall, slender format had very low print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. They are very rare, especially for more popular film titles, and are highly sought after by collectors today.
