Restoration: Linen-backed
Grade: C5 Very Good to Fine. Folded, single-sided. Prior to linen backing this was a theater used poster with moderate handling/edge/fold wear, heavy cross fold separation including some paper loss in the face, several fold separations at the edges, all mostly the result of brittle/fragile paper -- now appears very fine to near mint.

Wow, check out the incredible Ballester art on this Italian 2-foglio! Born in 1897, Anselmo Ballester created movie art for over half a century and he is perhaps the most revered of all poster artists worldwide. He certainly set the mood for this tight little French noir film — a speeding car (possibly a late 1940’s Chrysler New Yorker), a terrified Anne Vernon and an injured Maurice Regamey lurking behind her! Stunning. Absolutely stunning. The translation of the Italian title is awesome to boot — The Black Car Gang. This would look amazing in a showroom garage!
