Grade: C5 Very Good to Fine. Rolled, single-sided. Theater-used poster with heavy handling/surface/edge wear. Would grade higher if not for multiple pinholes and missing paper in each corner, surface scuffs, repeating damage from being roughly handled while rolled and trimming on the left side. This rolled poster was likely an uncut printers proof that was later trimmed to fit with other 27x41" posters.
Framing: List prices are for posters only. Please inquire to discuss framing options.
This rare Phantasm 1-sheet is somewhat of a mystery. I have seen other sellers describe this poster as an international 1-sheet, but it has an R Rating so that can’t be. It also includes *NO* distribution info despite the more common style 1-sheet having AVCO Embassy Pictures credited across the bottom. I have heard rumors of an early 3+ hour long cut having been screened several times prior to being picked up by AVCO. Could this be from one of those early screenings? Probably not given the R rating… but one can dream!
Fun Fact: This wild poster design was part of Guillermo del Toro’s inspiration for the Pale Man in Pan’s Labyrinth!
