Hayao Miyazaki is one of the greatest and renowned anime directors and My Neighbor Totoro is widely considered to be his masterpiece. Like most of his films, although they are primarily targeted towards children Miyazaki doesn’t shy away from difficult and emotional themes. Instead he presents the world as it truly is — a complex place that kids must learn to navigate. And of course he peppers in plenty of magic and mysticism along the way.

This poster is one of two different B1 designs for Miyazaki’s most beloved anime. The ‘bus stop’ scene is an amazing moment in the film and truly captures the warmth, caring and playfulness of the characters.
