This Spanish 1-sheet by artist “mac”, Macario Gómez Quibus, features a gorgeous portrait of Gable and Monroe embrassing. An amazing, melancholy film that also marked the ends of all three lead actors’ careers. Gable died of a heart attack several days after filming and Clift and Monroe would both pass within a few years of filming. The incredible western landscapes and presence of an on-set photographer from Magnum Photos resulted in some of the most important and memorable shots of these powerhouse actors.
