Grade: C6 Fine. Rolled, single-sided. Used blueprint with moderate handling/surface/edge wear. Would grade higher if not for general handling wear, some edge wear and corner creases, some repeating surface creases from being roughly handled while rolled, and the paper having yellowed with age. Surprisingly good condition given the age and the fact that it was never meant to be saved after production wrapped.

Mad Love was one of the seminal horror films of the 1930s and served as Peter Lorre’s breakout roll in Hollywood. The existence of this original production design blueprint for the facade of Le Théâtre des Horrors — one of the most important locations in the film — is almost beyond the imagination! This is one of the actual blueprints used by the crew to build the set and miraculously survived all these years in a storage trunk that was recently uncovered in Los Angeles. The fact that this still exists proves that Hollywood truly is the city of dreams!
