Restoration: Linen-backed
Grade: C8 Very Fine. Rolled, single-sided. Prior to linen backing this was (incredibly) an unused ROLLED billboard! It had almost no wear and was backed very well. After having been on display at a vintage wine store in Italy for many years, it has picked up some dirt, smudges, and a few dings, but it's in remarkable condition given it's age and rarity.

Audrey Hepburn is one of the most beloved actresses to grace the silver screen and Roman Holiday was her ticket to stardom! Starring opposite Gregory Peck, Hepburn played a sheltered princess who longs to experience the sights and sound of Rome without her royal trappings. Roman Holiday was a massive success and no doubt inspired countless trips to the Italian capital — not to mention that Vespa probably owes it success to the film as well!
Stop the press… we have breaking news from the Rome desk! This incredible country-of-origin Roman Holiday Italian billboard is one of the most gorgeous and rare posters I have ever encountered. It’s features gorgeous, larger-than-life-size Brini art of Hepburn and Peck on their famous scooter ride through the eternal city. This massive poster is the size of three Italian 4-foglios laid out side-by-side. To top it all off this poster was in amazing condition before being linen backed — only done for the convenience of display, not for restoration purposes. Thoughtfully, it was put on a thinner linen stock to reduce weight as well. This is simply a stunning poster that you will likely never encounter again and that is surprisingly easy to display, assuming you have the space of course!
