The Empire Strikes Back is widely considered to be the best film in the Star Wars franchise and one of the best sci-fi fantasy films ever made. It should come as no surprise then that it’s one of the most collected film titles — and with the wide range of designs there are many amazing posters to choose from.

This is the so-called “Gone with the Wind” (GWTW) poster — named for the central embrace of Han and Leia. It is also one of the most desirable designs, having been recalled shortly after it was distributed. Apparently Billy Dee Williams people were up in arms after he was left off the poster (a breach of his contract), so this poster was recalled and quickly replaced by the “style B” design with a light blue background. Other countries utilized a slightly revised (and more colorful) version of this Kastel art that found room for a few extra characters including Williams.
