Grade: C7  Fine to Very Fine. Folded, single-sided. Theater used poster with minor handling/fold/edge wear. Would grade higher if not for an accumulation of small flaws like slight ink loss on the fold lines, some edge wear in the bottom two corners, a small water stain on the back that bleeds through slightly by Robert Lippert’s producing credit, and thin paper and a small tear in the upper left from tape removal on the verso.

Framing: List prices are for posters only. Please inquire to discuss framing options.

Richard Matheson‘s amazing 1954 novel “I am Legend” has been adapted to the silver screen multiple times over the years. However, I have a soft spot for the very first version with Vincent Price’s take on “The Last Man on Earth.” Matheson’s novel would be remade again as “The Omega Man” in the 1970s with Charleston Heston and eventually as “I am Legend” with Will Smith in the aughts. The story is incredible so it’s not surprising screenwriters keep coming back to it. After a deadly pandemic has ravaged the population, the few survivors have mutated into some sort of vampire-like creatures. But there’s a twist of course — I am legend indeed!

This “Last Man on Earth” UK quad poster has a unique design not found in any other country. It features a wonderful keyline art design set against bold reds and purples. In addition to featuring an awesome pop-art aesthetic, the quad also happens to be crazy rare. This is only the second copy I’ve seen surface in more than a decade! NOTE: Props for the tag-line calling out gender inclusivity of the audience! Points removed for blatant female victimization along the bottom. One step forward, two steps back!
