Restoration: Linen-backed
Grade: C5 Very Good to Fine. Folded, single-sided. Prior to restoration this was a theater-used poster with moderate handling/surface/fold wear. Would grade much higher if not for about 1/2 inch of paper trimmed from the top and bottom edges, some chipping and separation at the top and bottom cross-folds and other minor surface wear. After an expert restoration which replaced the top and bottom edges and light airbrushing to blend the area, the poster now presents as very fine at normal viewing distances.

Fistful of Dollars was the first film in Sergio Leone’s Man with No Name spaghetti western trilogy. This film was not only Clint Eastwood’s break out role, but it marked a distinct shift in the western genre from a more moralistic approach (black vs. white) to a gritty, morally grey, lived-in reality. This US 1-sheet is now iconic and perfectly captures Clint Eastwood, not just his physical look, but his Devil-May-Care attitude. Go ahead, make my day!
