Restoration: Linen-backed
Grade: C6 Fine. Folded, single-sided. Prior to restoration this was a theater-used poster with moderate handling/surface/fold wear. Would grade much higher if not for a 1"+ edge tear on the lower right side, a corner crease in the lower right, and some surface compression marks resulting in minor ink loss. The restoration required very little work and now presents as very fine to near mint from normal viewing distances.

This 1st release Japanese poster has unique art not found in any other country, featuring a wonderful embrace by James Stewart and Kim Novak. The layout could have been inspired by the similar US 30×40 and 40×60 drive-in poster designs, which also prominently feature San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
